Dr. Akila Prasad is an Arizona native who was born and raised in Tempe. She embarked on her academic journey at the University of Arizona, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Speech and Hearing Sciences. Her love for Audiology and desire to help people hear better led her to earn her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After spending 5 years in the Midwest, Dr. Prasad’s love for the desert and her desire to help the community that nurtured her, brought her back home to Arizona. She returned to Phoenix and after working for several different organizations, she quickly discovered the lack of quality, patient-centered care in the area, and decided to open her own practice in order to better serve her hometown and to deliver top-notch, transparent, hearing healthcare to those in need.
Dr. Prasad currently lives in Scottsdale with her husband and two young children and is passionate about her career and her family. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, painting, dancing, and traveling the world with her family.
